“I truly want us to live in a world 50 or 100 years from now where people are jumping in their rockets like the Jetsons and there are families bouncing around on the moon with their kid in a spacesuit,” Jared Isaacman told The Associated Press news agency following the announcement by Space X on its goal to launch an all-civilian trip to Mars later this year.
Owned by Elon Musk, Space X is an aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company established in 2002.
The achievements of this space tech company continue to amaze everyone. On Monday, 1st February 2021, the company announced its all-civilian trip to Mars and this has been the talk of the ‘space town’.
This multi-day mission will be headed by Jared Isaacman, the 37-year-old tech billionaire, and he will be joined by 3 civilians.
A female front-line worker at St. Jude Hospital has been selected to fill a spot, the second slot will be filled by a business owner who makes use of Shift4 Payments, Isaacman’s credit card processing company and the last will be filled by the winner of a raffle draw organized to fund the St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
Inspiration 4 as the mission has been named is the definition of One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.
In the January of the previous year, Musk had shared his vision of building 1000 starships in the space of 10 years. This was tied to his dream of making humans multi-planetary.
Elon is known for setting extraordinary goals, but this year, his dream to transport 1 million people to Mars by 2050 will start its journey to reality.
One cannot help but learn from Musk’s daring and innovative ideas.
Space is unlimitedly broad, and to explore it to its fullness might be close to impossible, with a broad mind, however, you just might be on your way to Mars.
